The Scandalous Whispers of the Remmington Realm Series
Groom of Convenience
Cover by Shobana Appavu
In an alternate universe, in the country of Angland, 1814, the gentry live lives of culture and class. It is a time of courtships, marriages of convenience, and titles, where scandal can ruin an entire family. Gender lines are blurred, and making a good match is of utmost importance. Children are born to men and women, which has led to the acceptance of same-sex marriages.
Lady Lucien Timothy Hawthorne is shocked and angry when he is betrothed against his will to Lord Heathcliff Eddington, III, the Duke of Pompinshire. While drowning his frustration at a popular gentleman’s club, he meets “Robert,” a gorgeous older man whom he sleeps with as “Timmy,” regardless of the potential damage to his reputation.
After their liaison, Lucien corresponds with Robert via letters left at Remmington, and they decide to elope. Before they can get away, Lucien meets his betrothed, Heathcliff, who he is surprised to discover is also his beloved, Robert. Both men desire a marriage of the heart, but they find out that sometimes a marriage of convenience can turn into love under the right circumstances. But Lucien has a secret, and Tlondon isn’t as safe as they once thought.
The Servant Duchess of Whitcomb
Cover by Anne Cain
Orley Garrick is known throughout Angland not only as the man with two dukedoms but also as the hero who survived a brutal kidnapping at the hands of Nafoleon’s army, never once betraying the secrets of His Majesty. Still haunted by his memories, Orley pushes his crippled body to dangerous limits, all in an attempt to run from the demons of his past.
Until he meets Chester Boland, a maid in his friend’s household. Orley is besieged by desire for this gorgeous male woman, and by a connection he cannot ignore. But there are those within the Remmington Realm who take issue with the Duke’s choice—especially given Chester’s Tafrican lineage.
Having stared death in the face and won, Orley proposes they steal away and elope. However, before they can begin their new life, they uncover dangerous secrets that go deeper than they could ever imagine—involving those they trust the most.
Orley and Chester must discover exactly how deep these secrets run before their enemies make sure Chester is removed from Orley’s arms… forever.
So far there are only two books, but I am sure there will be more (Vicktor, please say you’re working on that!). I absolutely love the slightly bizarre world that is the basis for Scandalous Whispers. This is a world where the basics are the same, but gender and identity isn’t quite the same. The wrapper isn’t what makes you a lord or a lady, but whether you have a womb (and yes, boys can have wombs and girls can have longer than “norm” clitorises that can impregnate). It’s a unique twist on what is trans* and what is cis—and it’s fun!
With Groom of Convenience we have two people that have no interest in being betrothed to someone they have never even met! Can’t say as I blame them, personally. When they set out to forget, just for one night, before having to deal with what their families have done to them, they find so much more than they thought possible. But, can their hearts withstand the fallout?
It’s a true historical romance, in the richest manner. I loved Lady Lucien, how true to the feel and flow of a historical this story was, all while keeping the gender and boy bits in mind as the Lord and Lady issues issued forth. A truly fun and educational journey!
In The Servant Duchess of Whitcomb we have not only the wonderful and rich world Vicktor has created for us, but a mystery, a love connection between classes and races, and someone trying to kill Chester, or is it Orley they’re trying to do in?
Again the story flows wonderfully and the characters are rich and alive on the page. Until this series I wasn’t sure how one would write sure a thing and was insanely curious… but now that I’ve read them, all I can do is eagerly await (demand) Vicktor Alexander hurry up and write faster
Overall, this series touches on many things for historical and current that makes you think and will have your mind spinning for days over. It’s not a light, fluffy ready, it’s not a bodice ripper, it’s a meaty, fun, wonderful series set in the historical past, just with a few twists … Vic style.

About the Author
Vicktor “Vic” Alexander wrote his first story at the age of ten and hasn’t stopped writing since. He loves reading about anything and everything and is a proud member of the little known U.N. group (Undercover Nerds) because while he lives, eats, breathes, and sleeps sports, he also breathes history and science fiction and grew up a Trekkie. But don’t ask him about Dungeons & Dragons, because he has no idea how to play that game. When it comes to writing he loves everything from paranormal to contemporary to fantasy to BDSM to historical and is known not only for being the Epilogue King but also for writing stories that cross lines and boundaries that he doesn’t know are there. Vic is a proud father of two daughters one of whom watches over him from Heaven with his deceased partner Christopher. Vic is a proud trans* and gay man, and when he is not writing, he is hanging out with his friends, or being distracted by videos of John Barrowman, Scott Hoying, and Shemar Moore. Vicktor has published numerous bestselling novels and has a WIP list that makes him exhausted just thinking about. He knows that he will be still be writing about hot men falling in love with each other, long after he is living in an assisted living facility, flirting with the hot, male nurses.
