Guest Author Wednesday ♥ Lily Sawyer

Hello everyone! I’m ecstatic to have Romance Author Lily Sawyer with me today. Please say hi and leave her a comment or two below.

Lily Sawyer has to credit her late mother for her interest in reading and writing. She used to take her to library and opened up to her the world of books. She took a writing class in an adult enrichment program and got hooked. She started off writing stories set in various fandoms she was interested in like Star Trek and Brokeback Mountain. After getting some encouragement from family members and friends, she finally decided it was time to write her own original stories. Lily recently returned to drawing and was in an art class. Also loves to garden and loves everything about nature. Including going to the beach and looking up at the stars.

Can Sam give love a second chance?

What do you find the hardest part of being an author?

Coming up with new and different plots. Also writer’s block. Last year I hit a wall that lasted a long time.

What’s you favorite thing about writing?

Just going through the process of bringing characters to life and making them relatable to readers. I also enjoy getting feedback from my readers.

Just how H.O.T. are most of your books?

I think they are a mix of sweet and erotic. “Catch of the Day” is one of my more erotic stories.

Hot sweet or romantic do they tend to be?

I have to admit I like sweet and am a romantic at heart. But I don’t mind turning up the heat too.

Do you have a specific writing style?

I write in the M/M romance genre.

Which is you favorite storyline/angst situation and why? What inspired you to write about it?

I enjoyed the challenge of bringing a merman to life. I’d never delved into the world of fantasy before, writing it I mean. So it was fun to create the undersea world of mer people and bring Jaran, my merman, to life and have him fall in love.

Boxers or Briefs? I know which I prefer . . . *wink*

Either, especially if they are eatable. *wink*

Favorite author?

I have several. I like Andrew Grey, Rick Reed, Jan Irving, Sue Brown and Shira Anthony.

Favorite quote?

“Just because something good ends doesn’t mean something better won’t begin.”

What’s next for you?

I just submitted a story to Silver Publishing called “From the Depths” about a man dealing with emotional problems.

About the author

TempeO

Tempeste O’Riley grew up in the deep south and escaped her conservative, oppressive roots as soon as she could. Tempe is an out and proud omnisexual/bi-woman whose best friend growing up had the courage to do what she couldn’t – defy the hate and come out. He has been her hero ever since.

Though new to writing M/M, she has done many things in her life but writing has always drawn her back – no matter what else life has thrown her way. She counts her friends, family, and Muse as her greatest blessings in life.

Good Interview – both Somebody to Love and Catch of the Day sound like interesting books.

I’ve not read “Somebody to Love” but what’s not to love about a sexy mere-man (Catch of the Day)? Seriously!

    Hi, Lily!

I really don’t know why people talk about romantic and hot as being in opposition!
